Alan Gordon — LEED Accredited
San Francisco based Ramsey Purchasing has announced Alan Gordon’s successful completion of the Green Building Certification Institute's LEED accreditation program. Gordon, Vice President of Operations, will lead Ramsey's effort in qualifying manufacturer's green programs as they pertain to FF&E supply. This includes instituting environmental audits for manufacturers and developing financial and supply chain analyses for client FF&E project needs. Gordon's achievement as a LEED Accredited Professional enhances his degree from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.

Ramsey Purchasing has begun work on the new Sheraton Fairplex Conference Center. Fairplex is home to the LA County Fair; the Conference Center will be operated by the adjacent Sheraton Hotel.

Ramsey Purchasing Announces Award of Procurement Contract for New Guest House in The Presidio San Francisco

San Francisco, CA - April 5, 2011 - Ramsey Purchasing is awarded the FF&E procurement management contract for Pershing Hall Guest House. Located in the heart of The Presidio of San Francisco, the historic building will be renovated to become a unique boutique hotel.

The property is envisioned as becoming a model of sustainability, environmentally as well as economically. LEED certified Alan Gordon, Ramsey Purchasing's Director of Operations, will co-ordinate that effort with the project team of Brayton + Hughes Design Studio, Architectural Resources Group (ARG), Waterford Hotels & Inns, Inc., and The Presidio Trust.

The project team previously successfully collaborated on luxurious Cavallo Point, the Lodge at the Golden Gate, located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in Golden Gate National Park.
